How’s your January going for you? Are you wrapped up in a blanket, battling against deadlines and trying not to drink the two bottles of whiskey* on your desk. Please say it’s not just us!

We swear we’ll go for a run tomorrow, okay?

Anyway, back to business. If you have a bit more free time than us this January, you probably are trying to evaluate what online casino deserves your business.

And you’d be right to. January is famously a time for trying to get the best deals, switching your energy providers and thinking about asking for a raise in work. Why shouldn’t you get the best out of your online casino while you’re at it.

That’s why it’s the perfect time for you to learn all about Coral Priority. It’s the VIP programme at one of our very favourite places to flutter online.

Qualifying for Coral Priority

Coral Priority qualification is based on two things:

  • The points you earn in a calendar month
  • The amount you deposit in a calendar month

As you might have guessed, you have to deposit and play more to achieve higher statuses within the scheme.

But as we said before, pretty much all your play on Coral counts towards earning Priority Points. Even when you place a wager in your local Coral betting shop by using your Connect card.

Here’s how much you have to deposit and the points you have to earn to get each status:

  • Bronze – deposit £1,000 or more and earn at least 1,500 Priority Points
  • Silver – deposit £2,000 or more and earn at least 2,500 Priority Points
  • Gold – deposit £4,000 or more and earn at least 12,500 Priority Points
  • Platinum – invite only

How do I earn Priority Points?

The sweet thing about this loyalty programme is that you can earn Priority Points paying almost any game on Coral. Here are the different rates at which you rack up points, depending on the game you play:

  • Multiple sports bets: get 3 points for every £10 you wager
  • Single sports bets: get 2.5 points for every £10 you wager
  • Slots, scratchcards and bingo: get 2 points for every £10 wager
  • All other casino games: get 1 point for every £10 wager

How can I keep track of my points?

Your Priority Points are updated daily. You can see your running total, up to midnight UK time the previous day, when you log in and go to the VIP tab.

The total number of points you’ve earned via the sportsbook and via gaming are clearly displayed, as well as the combined total.

Anything else I should know?

Like every other thing at Coral, this is strictly only open to players over the age of 18.

When they say calendar month, they mean the four week period starting from the 1st of each calendar month.

Even if you meet the criteria, you might not get access to Coral Priority. It’s all at the company’s discretion. Similarly, Coral can choose to remove players from the programme at any point.

New players are added to the programme every week.

If you don’t hit your targets, you’ll be downgraded. But the good news is you can only be downgraded by one tier every calendar month.

And if you’re due an upgrade, that will happen in the following calendar month.

*And no, we haven’t gone all Mad Men on you. The whiskey is for a different project, we promise. We’re not doing Dry January, but we’re not that bad.
